Maintenance

To maintain the integrity of the cement-based finish, wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and pH-neutral cleaners. Avoid abrasive pads or acidic chemicals that may etch the surface. For outdoor applications in the GCC climate, periodic rinsing with low-pressure water is sufficient to remove dust and maintain the vibrant marble-like appearance.

Is this finish suitable for high-humidity areas like bathrooms?
Yes, the self-curing cement base is engineered for durability in various environments. While it is excellent for feature walls in bathrooms and spas, we recommend ensuring proper ventilation. The material's 2mm thickness and moisture-resistant properties make it a superior choice compared to standard decorative wall tiles in Dubai, as it does not warp or delaminate when exposed to ambient humidity common in the UAE coastal regions.
Can the Italian Marble Finish be applied over existing tiles?
Prastara’s IMF001 can be applied over most stable, flat substrates including existing tiles, provided the surface is properly primed. This makes it an ideal decowall panel solution for renovations where removing old material is impractical. Because the product is only 2mm thick, it adds negligible weight and volume, allowing for a seamless transition without the need for structural reinforcement or significant adjustments to door frames and skirting.
How does the material handle the extreme heat of the UAE?
Our Italian Marble Finish is specifically formulated for the GCC climate. The self-curing cement base provides excellent thermal stability, resisting cracking or fading under direct UV exposure.
