Yes, the Hera Brick Tile is specifically engineered to withstand the extreme temperature fluctuations and high UV exposure common in the UAE and GCC. Its 12mm thickness and high-density material composition prevent warping or fading, making it an ideal choice for exterior brick cladding and facade brick projects in Dubai. The thermal mass of the brick also assists in regulating interior temperatures when used as part of a facade system.
What substrate is required for installation?
These tiles are designed for installation on stable, flat surfaces such as plastered masonry, concrete blocks, or cement-fiber boards. We recommend using a high-quality, C2TE-grade flexible tile adhesive to accommodate thermal expansion, especially for large-scale exterior wall brick finish applications. Ensure the substrate is cured, dry, and free of dust or oils before application to guarantee a permanent bond.
Can these tiles be used in wet areas?
While Hera Brick Tiles are durable and suitable for outdoor use, they are naturally porous. For use in bathrooms, splashbacks, or near pool areas, we recommend applying a high-quality, non-film-forming impregnating sealer. This prevents deep water absorption and potential efflorescence, ensuring the aesthetic remains consistent over time while maintaining the breathability of the material.
