Can these tiles withstand the extreme heat of Dubai summers?
Yes, our Lavish Brick Tiles are specifically selected for the GCC climate. The natural brick material possesses high thermal mass and excellent UV stability, ensuring the color does not fade and the material does not crack under intense solar radiation. When installed with high-quality flexible adhesives, they accommodate the thermal expansion and contraction typical of exterior brick cladding in the UAE.
What is the recommended grout joint width for the 67x205mm tile?
For an authentic wall brick finish, we recommend a grout joint of 8mm to 12mm. This spacing allows for slight dimensional variances inherent in natural brick and provides the traditional masonry look. Using a contrast-colored grout can further accentuate the individual tile dimensions and the overall pattern of the facade.
Are these tiles suitable for installation over gypsum board?
While the 12mm thickness makes them lighter than full bricks, they still require a sturdy substrate. For interior use on gypsum, ensure the board is moisture-resistant and properly reinforced to handle the weight. For exterior facade brick UAE projects, we strictly recommend installation over cementitious boards, masonry, or concrete surfaces to ensure long-term structural adhesion.
