The Seismic Brick Tile features a deeply textured, non-reflective surface with natural tonal variations. Under directional lighting, the tactile surface creates dramatic shadows, enhancing the depth of the wall finish.

Maintenance

These tiles require minimal upkeep. For exterior applications, occasional pressure washing or rinsing with water is sufficient to remove dust. For interior use, a soft brush or vacuum attachment removes surface debris. The material is resistant to fading and does not require periodic sealing, though a breathable silane-based water repellent can be applied for enhanced stain protection in high-traffic zones.

Yes, the Seismic Brick Tile is designed for exterior brick cladding on both low-rise and high-rise structures. Its 12mm thickness ensures it is lightweight enough for vertical installation without requiring heavy mechanical fixings, provided the appropriate high-strength adhesive is used on a prepared substrate. The material is tested to withstand the extreme thermal expansion and UV exposure typical of the UAE climate, ensuring the facade brick finish remains structurally sound and aesthetically consistent over time.
What is the recommended grout joint for this tile?
We recommend a grout joint of 10mm to 12mm to achieve the most authentic masonry look. Using a recessed or 'raked' joint can further enhance the shadow lines of the 67mm x 205mm tiles. Prastara offers a range of mortar colors to complement or contrast with the Seismic finish, allowing architects to customize the final appearance of the decorative brick tiles in line with the project's design intent.
Are these tiles suitable for wet areas like bathrooms or pool surrounds?
While the Seismic Brick Tile is excellent for general indoor and outdoor use, it is a porous material characteristic of the brick-series. For use in wet areas or near swimming pools, we recommend applying a high-quality impregnating sealer. This prevents water absorption and protects against chlorine or salt efflorescence while maintaining the tile's natural breathability and preventing moisture-related staining on the substrate.
