For interior applications, occasional dusting or a damp cloth is sufficient. For exterior facade brick in the UAE, we recommend a low-pressure wash every six months to remove desert dust. Yes, the PBS020 series is specifically designed for exterior brick cladding in the UAE. At 12mm thickness, they are lightweight enough to be applied to high-rise facades without the structural load of traditional bricks. When installed with approved mechanical fixings or high-performance polymer-modified adhesives, they provide a secure, weather-resistant finish that meets local building codes for wind load and thermal stability.
Are these tiles suitable for wet areas like bathrooms or pool surrounds?
While primarily used as a wall brick finish for dry areas and facades, these tiles can be used in bathrooms if properly sealed. The natural brick material is durable but porous; therefore, applying a high-quality hydrophobic sealer is essential to prevent water absorption and efflorescence. They are excellent for pool feature walls where they are not constantly submerged, adding a rustic, organic texture to outdoor leisure spaces.
